The Tallwood Motel (Wells, USA)

In a picturesque setting with plenty of trees, The Tallwood Motel is conveniently located off Route one in Maine. It is close to the beach. The Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge and Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve are within two kilometers from the motel. The Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farms and Johnson Hall Museum are around three kilometers.

The rooms and cabins have heating and air conditioning. All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, microwave and refrigerator. En suite bathrooms have only shower or shower and tub combination. The cabins have a patio and separate private entrances.

The motel features an outdoor pool area enclosed with fence and trees. A large deck with chairs, tables and sun umbrellas are present for guests to relax after a swim. A barbecue grill with picnic tables is present in the lawn area, plus snack, ice and soda machines. Coffee or tea is served in the lobby and a snack bar is also present. A meeting room and game room are on site. Free shuttle service to the train station is provided.

The motel lacks cleanliness and maintenance. The rooms have carpets wet from the air conditioning unit. The beds have unclean sheets and cause itchiness. Windows have cobwebs. Rooms are smelly. Towels are stained. Fridge is not in working condition as the food stored in it freezes.

The bathrooms are filthy. Toilets are too small and function improperly with flush not running to full capacity. The shower curtain is terribly dirty and appears to be unwashed in a long time.

Parking area is rather far and Wi-Fi speed needs to be increased as it is too slow. The whole motel appears to be in need of renovation as it is falling apart.
