About The Royal Hotel
The Royal Hotel is found on the banks of the River Dee in downtown Llangollen, just next to the 14th Century Llangollen Bridge and across the waters from the steam trains of the Llangollen Railway. Guests can take a horse-drawn or motorised boat trip along the Llangollen Canal, which lies about four minutes’ walk away from this 3-star hotel.

The full Welsh Breakfast was found to be very filling and very good, but keep in mind it is not a buffet, so enquire in advance if you have specific needs. The bar was also popular, with a good selection of drinks and a nice terrace to enjoy them from.

The Royal’s beds did not suit everyone, with a few guests feeling springs and others finding them too soft, while some people would have preferred to have a duvet on the bed, rather than blankets.
