Guests loved not only the rooms, but the entire ambiance of the hotel. Many also wrote about enjoying their time in the “railway” rooms – the annex to the hotel, as well as the lounge and gardens.

Guests are allowed to bring their dogs into the dining room. Dog lovers thought this was terrific. There were several guests however, who felt this practice was a bit off-putting if not unsanitary.

Most guests were very pleased with the level of customer service provided at the Hoste. Many complimented the calm atmosphere and specifically credited the professional, detail-oriented staff for creating a relaxing country oasis.

While guests loved the food, some complained that breakfast was not included in the price of the room. Others complained that, while delicious, the food was a bit overpriced. Some guests also complained about the drinks prices.

Some guests felt the temperature in their rooms was uncomfortably hot, especially as windows cannot be left open all the time for security reasons.

Some guests complained that the tranquil atmosphere was sometimes marred in the early morning by routine service deliveries and collections.
