The staff at this family-run hotel favors you with a level of personal service you won’t find at a larger property. They are happy to accommodate most any request and point you in the direction of popular local sights, eateries and entertainments.

Not only does Stotfield charge you for Wi-Fi in the guest rooms, but there is a 30 minute limit for free Wi-Fi in the public spaces as well, after which, you'll be charged a fee. This could be problematic for those who are travelling on business and need Internet connectivity for longer than 30 minutes at a stretch, or for those who just like to be able to access their devices without having to pay a surcharge.

Although the public spaces have undergone recent renovations, many of the guest rooms have not yet had their turn. Be sure to ask for a refurbished guest room when you check-in, otherwise, you might be disappointed with the state of your room.

The car park here is small and difficult to navigate if you are driving a large vehicle. In addition, the car park tends to fill up rather quickly, especially during peak season or on weekends when private functions may be taking place. Luckily, there is on-street parking to be had across from the hotel and although this is not ideal, at least there’s a place to leave your car.
