The hotel is in the heart of Brisbane's central business district and close to the Botanical Gardens and River stage; and for most visitors to the hotel the location was by far and away the best part of their stay.

Guests who had time during their stay to use the facilities raved about both the pool and the gym commenting that both areas were well maintained and provided a relaxing space for them to access during their stay.

Guests commented on the excellent views of the Story Bridge and Brisbane River that they enjoyed from their balconies whilst staying at the hotel. Guests left tips for future visitors to make sure to request a high floor, to take the best advantage of the views when they stay here.

Guests commented that they were a little disappointed at the state of some of the appliances provided in the rooms with kettles, fridges and microwaves showing obvious signs of their age and years of use by previous guests.

Guests were less than impressed by the daily housekeeping and the state of their rooms on arrival with complaints about the standard of cleaning, especially in the shower and bathroom described as rushed and sub-par by many.

Guests complained in their reviews about a number of items which annoyed them during their stay including a lack of hot water and water pressure, no towels provided for the pool, noise from the city nightclubs and fixtures and fittings that required maintenance.
