Positive Reviews
positive:
Unbeatable food.
The six restaurants housed in Mundo Imperial all serve a diverse and flavorful assortment of meals, ranging from light vegetarian options to more filling meat dishes. The service is on-par with what you would expect from a five-star restaurant, as is the quality of the ingredients and presentation.
positive:
Phenomenal pools.
While some of Mexico's greatest treasures are its beaches, you won't miss the oceanfront when you're at Mundo Imperial, which has an amazing assortment of pools and tanning areas for guest use. The pools are gigantic and include a wave-producing variation, allowing you to practice surfing at will.
positive:
Spotless facilities.
The common areas, fitness buildings, and guest rooms of Mundo Imperial are all cleaned regularly by dedicated and detail-oriented staff members, meaning you'll never have to worry about checking into a messy room or using a facility that isn't up to full hygiene standards.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Relatively small rooms.
For such a high price, you might expect the rooms at Mundo Imperial to be a bit larger. While there's plenty of space for you to store luggage and sleep comfortably, you'll be hard-pressed to have any form of social gatherings here, even in some of the suite rooms that have added dimensions.
negative:
Limited guest services.
Things that you might expect from a luxury stay, such as towel service or abundant toiletries in the en suite bathrooms, are curiously absent from most rooms at this complex. You'll need to actively approach the management about requesting these items, and even then, you may not receive them.
negative:
Air-conditioning prone to failure.
The air-conditioning units at Mundo Imperial are especially important for comfort, since this complex is situated in one of Mexico's warmest regions and needs an ample supply of cool air during the day. Unfortunately the units here often break down and require maintenance from trained staff members.
