Menzies Prince Regent is a unique hotel located in a listed Georgian house and a converted chapel in the town of Chigwell. Bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary manner and feature an LCD television with Freeview, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and an en-suite bathroom. Guests have praised staff across the hotel for being very friendly, welcoming and approachable and a credit to the establishment. This includes events coordinators, the reception desk and the housekeeping team. Staff have also been very accommodating and always try to honour any particular requests, for example a specific room required or an early check in.
Previous guests were impressed with the rooms and have said that they are very spacious and have everything you need for a short stay. Fans can also be provided for guests in hot weather which was a welcome relief to some.

The hotel hosts lots of weddings and other large events and this puts pressure on staff and different departments within the hotel. Guests have complained that the restaurant has been closed due to events and the morning after events the breakfast can be extremely busy.
