Positive Reviews
positive:
Exceptionally beautiful garden and pool
The pool area and surrounding gardens were described by guests as not only incredibly beautiful, but also incredibly tranquil. It was typically the tropical foliage and the animal life and fragrances this created that led guests to their conclusions.
positive:
Very well located
Guests clearly liked the location of the hotel. It was described as being in a quiet area away from the main tourists and commercial drags, but still near enough to the beach and other amenities that guests felt they could walk everywhere they wanted. A number of women travelling alone reported that they felt very safe in the neighbourhood.
positive:
The four-poser beds
All the rooms at the B&B have grand four-poster beds in them. Guests were definitely impressed with them, saying it just made the room and hotel seem that much grander. But aside from the frame, guests also said that the beds themselves were very comfortable.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some problems with bugs
Some guests did have issues with bugs in their room. Given the subtropical climate, bugs do tend to be quite prevalent, with some guests saying the hotel did not do enough to control them. Cockroaches were said to be a particular problem by those who complained.
negative:
No free onsite parking
A number of motorists were upset to discover that they had to pay for parking at the hotel. They were clearly not expecting this, so were upset to have another daily expense to eat into their budget.
negative:
Offsite check-in
Guests mentioned that there was no reception desk at the property, meaning that they had to check in and out at a sister property some way away. They found this very inconvenient.
