About Villa Olmi Firenze
Set in a revamped 18th-century farmhouse, about eight kilometres the Ponte Vecchio Bridge, Villa Olmi Firenze invites guests to enjoy stunning scenery amidst an abundance of old trees in a country-like setting.
Boasting exposed Tuscan-style beams, antique furnishings, and 18th-century frescoes, each of the lavishly decorated rooms also features modern amenities like flat-screen TVs and marble bathrooms with large hot tubs.
A seasonal outdoor pool is surrounded by deck chairs and the unique scent of jasmine from the surroundings. A shuttle service and on-site parking is provided at no additional cost, and those who wish to arrive in style can take advantage of the presence of a heliport in the garden.
The in-house Il Cavaliere Restaurant is unique with exposed brick work and pristine wines on display. Diners can rely on gourmet Mediterranean cuisine and a delicious complimentary breakfast to start the day off.
Nelson Mandela Forum, an indoor sports and concert venue, is within a 15-minute drive of Villa Olmi Firenze.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Renovated farmhouse
Located in a peaceful area across the river, the resort is a farmhouse that has been renovated and done up tastefully. It is a beautiful resort, which made the guests feel as if they are in the middle of countryside. There were period furniture, oil paintings, grand piano and glass chandeliers. Guests loved the miniature working Ferraris to the tunnels connecting the main building to the adjacent villas.
positive:
Shuttle services; free secure parking
Guests found the shuttle service to and from Florence very convenient. After spending the entire day at Florence, the guests could take the return shuttle to the hotel. Using shuttle services helped the guests save a lot of money that would have been spent on the taxi. Once they booked the shuttle service, it was a smooth ride around the place. Free parking was very safe and secure.
positive:
Clean rooms and pools
Rooms
were spotless and well-maintained. Guests had a peaceful and enjoyable sleep in
their rooms. Pool is of a decent size and is not overcrowded. There are many
sunbeds and complimentary towels so guests could lie down and relax. Kids had a
good time on the garden swings.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Thin walls; noisy air conditioner
Since the sound proofing of the walls was not up to the standard, few guests could hear their neighbours talking and laughing, which was quite a disturbance. Air conditioners in few rooms were very noisy with very little air flow.
negative:
Erratic Wi-Fi connection
Most of the guests were disappointed to find a patchy Wi-Fi connection that kept disconnecting.
negative:
Poor laundry services; hard beds
Few
guests were not at all happy with the laundry services, as the clothes were not
washed even after two days. Beds were hard, which gave a bad back to the
guests.
