Positive Reviews
positive:
Close to convenient metro stop
The hotel is close to the Fira Metro Station, which is on a line with convenient access to both the airport and central Barcelona. While guests describe the trip to central Barcelona as taking about 30 minutes, this doesn't seem to bother many, and they are grateful for the straightforward metro connection.
positive:
Good location for concerts and events
To be honest, the hotel does not get overall good reviews from guests looking for regular Barcelona street life and beach life. But it is very close to Barcelona's main trade fair grounds, and other venues, and guests attending events there couldn't be any happier about the location.
positive:
“You get what you pay for”
This statement came up again and again in reviews. Not in a negative way, but as a way of saying that guests accepted that they paid budget prices for a basic room some distance from the centre, and that is exactly what the hotel delivered.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Wi-Fi costs extra
While guests accepted that they were staying in a budget hotel, many did not find it acceptable to be charged extra for Wi-Fi. Considering the central importance of connectivity nowadays they felt it should have been included in the room rate.
negative:
No in-room control for the air conditioning
A few guests pointed out that their rooms had no in-room temperature control for the air conditioning. Since room temperature is notorious for being very much a matter of personal taste, this did cause some unhappiness.
negative:
Some problems with cockroaches
Unfortunately quite a few guests mention that they initially had to share their room with one or two of these, before killing them. There seems to be a plague of cockroaches in the area, and the hotel has not got a firm grip on the situation.
