When it comes to customer service at the Mermaid Inn, most previous guests were complimentary towards the staff and their attentive nature. The employees at the hotel are also said to be warm and friendly.

Whilst it is some distance from the tourist-centric areas of Myrtle Beach, many past visitors were pleased with the location of the accommodation. Positioned on the oceanfront in a reportedly quiet area, the beach opposite the hotel is considered a very clean and tranquil spot in particular.

Although there have been a few small complaints about the general condition of the rooms, most former guests stated their happiness about the cleanliness of the Mermaid Inn. Furthermore, the rooms and outdoor swimming pool are regarded as nice and comfortable overall.

Despite the fact that it has recently undergone a renovation, a number of previous visitors have stated that the Mermaid Inn is still evidently an older and dated accommodation. With that said, this has not been too detrimental for those that stayed at the hotel.

The Wi-Fi has proved to be one of the biggest criticisms for former guests that stayed at the hotel. The Wi-Fi provided is apparently slow and unreliable.

As there is no breakfast or food option of any kind at the Mermaid Inn, this has generated criticism in some quarters from past visitors. This problem is exemplified to an extent due to what is measured as a limited amount of restaurants in the nearby area.
