The Lion Fish Hostel is located in the center of town, only 150m from the bus stop. It offers amongst others free WiFi, warm showers and free morning coffee from 6-9. The hostel is quite young and run with the help of volunteers, it is therefore a very social hostel. The owners is a couple with very different backgrounds: Elias is born and raised in Puerto Viejo, loves surfing and is the right person to talk to regarding anything surf related (and for any other question about Puerto or the area around for that matter). Mari grew up amongst fjords and snow in Norway, but totally gets why you want to visit Costa Rica and Puerto Viejo in particular.We are located in one of the best areas of Costa Rica, Puerto Viejo. In this sense, from our facilities you can reach some of the most renowned attractions of the area such as Playa Negra, Playa Cocles and Comisariato Don Manuel León, amongst other interesting spots and landmarks of our area. We have several accommodation options to suit the needs of diverse kind of travellers and guests. In this sense, we have private accommodation rooms ideal for couples travelling together, meanwhile for the venturesome travellers we have dorms with different capacities. Upstairs, you will find a spacious kitchen and a lounge where we are having movie nights. At the back we have a nice garden ideal for both relaxing with a book and pre-party before going out.
