About The Hope Anchor
The The Hope Anchor Hotel is a family owned hotel of character where the emphasis is on service to the guests. It is located in the heart of this delightful town, and has views over the surrounding areas including Romney Marsh and the sea.
In addition to the 13 en-suite bedrooms there are also two separate apartments and a fisherman's cottage. Rooms have flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and direct dial telephone. The bath/shower room is provided with a hair dryer, slippers and toiletries.
The The Hope Anchor Hotel building dates back to 17th Century and the family owners have been providing a friendly and personal level of attention to their guests for over 30 years. The hotel is non-smoking throughout.
The hotel restaurant serves lunches and dinners with special emphasis on the use of fresh local produce, and naturally the seafood is particularly delicious.

A guest found that the Wi-Fi in their room was not very good, and another noted a slight leak from the WC. One was disappointed to find in the bathroom an extractor fan patched with cardboard and tape, many of the floor tiles cracked, and a tiny shower cu

The hotel seemed to offer good value, however against the general run of opinions reported by guests one visitor found the staff to be rude and abrupt, notably when saying that there was no room available in the restaurant for dinner.
