Hotel Sun Inn (Hawkshead, United Kingdom)

The quaint little village where Sun Inn is located is beautiful. The pleasant surroundings are good for walking, strolling and it is a good base for those visiting the nearby northern and southern lakes.

The food is delicious and wholesome; cooked to order breakfast is well cooked and presented. The pub menu is also very good, giving many options and the food is well prepared. Many return guests stay here for the hotel’s sumptuous and delectable food.

The staff at Sun Inn is very polite and friendly, and go out of their way to help you. They seemed to be genuinely interested in helping the guests and provide prompt service even on a busy day. The landlord and lady welcome the guests with warmth and make sure that guests feel at home.

Guests felt that a few rooms located above the kitchen extractors were noisy. There was constant noise of something or the other. Also, on musical nights, one can hear the voice of musician in the room, which is not liked by the guests who want to take rest. The rooms are a little compact and not very spacious, but this was not a major issue with guests.

The Wi-Fi network is not very good in the rooms. At times, the network is almost not there. Also, the connectivity is there only in bar area of the hotel.

The pub of Sun Inn can be refurbished to suit the modern age travellers. The décor may be updated and a few items like carpets may be replaced.
