The staff are helpful, guests comment that the manager is very professional, and there is plenty of advice and information available for visitors. Public transport is very near, for the centre of Amsterdam, and Schiphol Airport can be reached in 25 minutes.
The rooms are described as being adequate with comfortable beds and clean linen. The bathrooms are impeccably clean, multiple fans were provided for the heat during guests' visit, there are a good number of plug sockets. Guests felt their room here was truly secure with the key swipe system.
Apart from breakfast, which guests felt was expensive for what it was, there are only snacks available at the hotel. They were disappointed to have to pay the city tax, as they had not been forewarned of this imposition.
There is no lift, and most of the rooms are small; a guest found with no hangers for clothes or towels. There was a lack or water pressure in the shower. The Wi-Fi does not work in all the rooms, it seems to be a problem mainly on the higher floors making a trip down to reception level necessary.
This is a well located budget hotel, and whilst it is clean, safe and well run, visitors should be aware that it is not awash with freebies, so bring your own soap and shampoo! All in all a good choice for those who seek a cheap base, and who intend to get out and about in Amsterdam.
