Great Walks Nearby
Guests enjoyed the location of the Sheraton Sonoma County, Petaluma. Close to downtown Petaluma's shops, restaurants and the marina, it also offered a number of pleasant marshland walks and trails. The hotel's proximity to the wine country was a plus.

The on-site Tolay restaurant and lounge which overlook a small marina received good reviews from most guests for the quality of the food and pleasant ambience. From scrambled eggs, fruit and oatmeal at breakfast to sliders and other late night offerings, most guests found something to enjoy. The restaurant's extensive wine list was also noted.

Billing & Reservation Problems
A number of billing problems were reported by guests at the Sheraton Sonoma County, Petaluma. Guests complained of duplicate charges, add-on charges for items not ordered and credit card charges that were higher than the advertised rate. Issues with reservations included overbooked rooms and guests arriving to find that their reservations were not in the system. While some guests said problems were ultimately resolved, others described less than satisfactory resolutions.

Guests who arrived while nearby construction was taking place complained of road noise starting as early as 7:30 a.m. While most guests recognized this was not the hotel's fault, others felt that guests should have been warned in advance.
