True Southern hospitality..
The front desk and valet staff receive rave reviews for their pleasant and professional customer service, with many guests appreciating their extensive knowledge of the area. Guests also often comment that they are greeted warmly by every staff member they meet, from housekeeping to management.
positive:
Clean, comfortable rooms..
Most guests describe the rooms as very clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with all the appliances you might need in the kitchen. Guests often appreciate that the rooms and common areas have a little more 'character' than the average hotel room, as the Residence Inn Atlanta Downtown is an older, restored building.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Make your own sofa beds..
Several guests who planned to use the sofa bed in their room found that they needed to request bedding, and then make the bed themselves. A few also found the mattresses too thin, or else found it difficult to navigate through the living area when the bed was pulled out.
negative:
Too noisy for some..
A few guests were disturbed by traffic noise from the Peachtree side of the building, even on higher floors. Others noted the walls were a bit too thin for privacy.
negative:
Not so fit for the fit..
A few guests were disappointed in the small fitness area, and did not relish the walk to a full-service gym, even when offered free passes. The property also lacks a swimming pool.
