From retrieving ice from a malfunctioning machine to assistance with luggage, Mr. Cliff earned praise for his kindness, courtesy and efficiency. Some guests described him as absolutely the best thing about the hotel. Earnest at the front desk also received a number of kudos.

Numerous comments related to unsatisfactory housekeeping and general upkeep were reported. Some guests complained about dirty floors and carpets, others said sheets and comforters were stained and discolored and the place generally felt unclean.
