Positive Reviews
positive:
Comfortable, clean and well kept rooms.
The rooms here cover all the essential bases. They are spotlessly clean and tidy, the furniture is comfortable and in good condition, and things like ironing facilities and a hairdryer are provided. Overall great value accommodation is on offer here.
positive:
Friendly owners are very accommodating.
The owners, who also run this hotel, are very helpful and make sure you feel welcome throughout your stay. Any problems you have are dealt with directly by them, and they are also a great source of local knowledge.
positive:
Convenient central location in Torquay.
You’ll find it easy to explore the heart of the English Riviera while staying here, with the town centre and historic harbour just a short walk away. Plenty of restaurants, bar and entertainment venues are also on your doorstep.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Old property equals poor sound proofing.
This hotel is an Edwardian villa built at the beginning of the 20th century, and while renovation has taken place the walls still remain thin. You can expect to hear what is going on in your neighbours room, which could keep you up at night.
negative:
Small time window to enjoy your morning meal.
Breakfast is only served between eight thirty and quarter past nine in the morning, giving you a measly 45 minutes to enjoy the most important meal of the day. Ask the owners to make alternative arrangements if you are leaving early.
negative:
Car parking area is a bit too small.
Peppers simply doesn’t have enough car parking spaces to cater for everyone staying here. With ten rooms and only four car parking spots, you might end up being the unlucky one without a spot. Luckily there is a public car park nearby.
