About Hotel Paganelli
With its location facing onto St Marks Basin, close to the San Zaccaria Vaporetti stop, Hotel Paganelli is popular with guests looking for a central Venice hotel.
Deluxe, superior and family rooms enjoy art-deco styling, while classic annexe rooms are more contemporary in design. All include minibar, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer and TV and many have balconies overlooking the city and mosaic-tiled bathrooms.
Wi-Fi is free, staff are multi-lingual and there is a small lift for guest use. Hotel Paganelli also boasts a rooftop turret, with 360 degree views across the surrounding area.
The main restaurant serves Venetian and Italian cuisine; including homemade bread, pasta and sweets. Cocktails and aperitifs are a speciality at the bar, and there is a separate breakfast room.
St Marks Square, the Bridge of Sighs and Palazzo Ducale are all a three-minute walk from the hotel. Rialto and Piazale Roma are easily reachable by water taxi.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Unbeatable location.
With so many attractions, including St Marks Square, within a five-minute radius on foot, it is little wonder Paganelli is a top choice for many tourists. Quiet, yet close to everything, easy to reach from Marco Polo Airport thanks to the water taxi stop right outside and sat on the canal, for stunning views.
positive:
Comfortable, modern rooms.
Rooms are comfortable, beautifully furnished in a modern Italian style and have excellent amenities including air conditioning and satellite TV. Many also boast balconies, and character features such as exposed beams and chandeliers.
positive:
Attentive staff.
Staff are happy to assist in any way they can, recommending the best places to eat and give transportation tips and sightseeing. The front desk team, in particular, are most friendly and helpful.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Not the best breakfast.
Some guests have suggested that the breakfast could be improved upon. A simple continental option is currently provided and, while guests have their concerns over the quality, they would also like to see greater variety.
negative:
Cosy spaces.
As with many hotels in Venice, rooms are not terribly spacious. The breakfast room too is compact, and guests suggest avoiding peak times if you would like to enjoy your breakfast while seated.
negative:
Wasted amenities.
The rooftop turret is a stunning feature, with 360 degree views across the City and canal, however, many feel this amenity is currently not being used to its full potential. Guests can take drinks from the bar up but, as there is no bar on the roof, many choose not to. You may want to nip up to catch the sunset but you'll likely find it to yourself.
