Positive Reviews
positive:
Wonderful location
The hotel is less than a 15-minute walk from the busy Ocean Drive area with its active nightlife and many diverse restaurants. Yet guests enjoyed the fact that despite having all that South Beach has to offer in walking distance, the hotel was still far enough away to guarantee some peace and quiet.
positive:
Accommodating staff
Guests felt that the entire staff was friendly and professional and always willing to offer guidance whether in regards to hotel amenities or general nightlife, restaurants, shopping or sightseeing.
positive:
Comfortable and modern rooms
The recently renovated rooms are much appreciated by guests, as the clean, bright and spacious design made them feel right at home. They were especially pleased with the comfortable beds and the rainfall showers.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Expensive South Beach
Guests felt that between their dining options, Wi-Fi and valet parking the hotel was a bit pricey. However, they also acknowledged that the entire South Beach area isn't cheap and therefore such prices are to be expected.
negative:
Construction not completed yet
The hotel has just started renovating its property and expects to be working on its new restaurants, lobby, spa and gym until the summer of 2016. Guests were annoyed by the noise level and obstructed views, but at least the renovation is being handled in stages.
negative:
Wi-Fi not free
Guests noted that Wi-Fi was only free in public areas and quite expensive to use within the rooms. They recommended signing up to become a Marriott Rewards member, because Wi-Fi would then be free of charge.
