Positive Reviews
positive:
Impressive rooms and style
Rooms are spacious and very clean. They are kept that way during the course of your stay. Towels are changed on a daily basis. Wi-Fi is very good and is a free facility. Furniture is classic in style and quite impressive. Beds are large and comfortable.
positive:
Close to major attraction
Alicante’s pride and joy is the Explanada de Espana. It is a wide and pedestrionised promenade that runs parallel to the port. Starting at Puerta del Mar, it stretches to Canalejas Park and is home to many bars restaurants and shops. This very popular feature is only a minute’s walk from the hotel.
positive:
Excellent air-con
The summer heat can be very oppressive but the air conditioning here works like a dream!
Negative Reviews
negative:
An enforced diet starts here
There’s no encouragement to eat or drink here. The hotel doesn’t have a dining room – so no breakfast – nor does it have a bar. To make matters even worse, there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. This is a good time to start on that long-promised diet.
negative:
There is a problem with noise
Dividing walls are very thin, so there can be a noise problem from nearby rooms. It would be OK for the large rooms to be a bit smaller and the walls somewhat thicker! Members of staff seem unable or unwilling to control noisy guests, so noise problems just accelerate.
negative:
TV dramas
The TV is OK only if you understand Spanish. There are no accessible English speaking channels; just Spanish. You don’t realise how much you rely on the TV – until it’s not there.
