Positive Reviews
positive:
Stunning setting and grounds
The resort is located in the World Golf Village and includes
its own manicured gardens to complement the Mediterranean villa-style
buildings, all of which are very well maintained to ensure a luxurious feel for
all guests.
positive:
Convenient location near centre of town
Staying at Laterra gives you the advantage of being in a
peaceful, secluded setting on the property without being too isolated from the
rest of St. Augustine. There are the surrounding golf courses in the rest of
the World Golf Village, shopping and dining in town as well as attractions such
as the beach and historical old part of the city to keep visitors entertained.
positive:
Family-friendly setup
The free self-parking, space of the condos, swimming pool and lots of outdoor space make this a great choice for a family vacation as well as friend or perhaps teambuilding groups. Even your pet is welcome!
Negative Reviews
negative:
No on-site dining
For the guest who wants the option of a restaurant they can
walk to at any time of the day, the Laterra Condominiums may prove to be an
issue as the units are self-catering only and the nearest dining options are a
few minutes' drive away from the property.
negative:
No on-site staff throughout the day
There is no physical reception desk for the whole resort and you reach the staff for any queries via a given phone number. This has proved to make checking in a long process for a few visitors as well as making it near impossible to request anything for the rooms e.g. Extra towels. There are however daily housekeeping services.
negative:
Some oversights in housekeeping
A number of guests have checked in only to find the previous occupants' used dishes still in the sink or dishwasher and various other conditions that suggest the cleaning needs to be checked over.
