Lindian Village Beach Resort, Curio Collection By Hilton has a number of fitness facilities available, including a full gym, tennis court and watersports centre that can arrange scuba diving and much more. The resort has a large fresh water pool complex near the beach with all the usual amenities.
The resort is large, and there are an incredible eight venues to wine and dine, from the elegant Basil Restaurant, serving Greek food and wine, to the more casual La Piazza Cafe, a great spot for a coffee or cocktail.
The main attraction is the resort and the nearby beach, but those who can drag themselves away will find Rhodes Town, and its archaeological treasures, 33 miles to the north.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Remarkably peaceful and quiet
Several guests were simply astonished that a resort as large as Lindian Village could be as quiet as it was. They said it was certainly not a party resort, and while there was entertainment provided, it was a bit subdued. Many guests loved this peace and quiet, and were happy to sleep peacefully at night.
positive:
Good resort layout
Lindian Village is a very large resort, built on a challenging, sloping site. On the whole guests were very happy with the layout, saying they could find everything they needed, and that the amenities seemed to be in just the right place.
positive:
Excellent beach club
Though it was quite a walk to get there, guests really seemed to like the resort's beach club, which they said was well organised and very stylish.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Too remote without a car
There are no real towns in the immediate vicinity. Lindos is eight miles away, and even little Lardos is three miles from the hotel. As a result, several guests said they would not have enjoyed their stay had they not had the use of a car. They felt that, lovely as the resort was, guests would feel too isolated if they couldn't get out a bit.
negative:
Restaurants exceptionally expensive
This was a very common complaint. Reviews of the actual food were very mixed, but there was a strong view that it was exceptionally expensive, especially compared to good independent restaurants in the nearest towns.
negative:
Rather poor Wi-Fi
Unfortunately Lindian Village did not beat the hotel Wi-Fi odds by installing a perfect Wi-Fi system. Guests reported problems with the Wi-Fi, saying it was weak in the rooms, and even in public areas, where it was typically stronger, it was too slow for their liking.
