Positive Reviews
positive:
Incredibly beautiful infinity pool
There was simply no doubt that it was the pool that most impressed guests about the hotel. It is an especially dramatic infinity pool that is suspended above a canopy of trees and has views to the ocean. Going by the reviews, it seems guests spent as much time as possible there.
positive:
Very peaceful location
Aside from the view it afforded them, guests also loved how peaceful the location was. It is set in the hills far above the shore. As a result, guests mentioned that it was much quieter than places on or near the popular beachfront.
positive:
Pleasant and helpful staff
Guests seemed to have only good things to say about the
staff at the resort. In fact, they mentioned that it was part of a tourism
training institute, with some of the staff trainees there, and so eager to do
well and make a good impression.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No food apart from breakfast
This was actually a pretty big negative for many guests. They mentioned that the only meal available at the resort is breakfast. The other two meals would have to be had elsewhere. Considering the fact that the resort is relatively remote, with no cafes or restaurants within walking distance, to most this meant an inconvenient shuttle transfer or taxi ride into town.
negative:
Spa often closed
A number of guests complained that the spa was simply not operating at all when they were there. It was unclear whether it was permanently closed, or that they were merely having temporary staffing problems.
negative:
Poor Wi-Fi
While many conceded that they didn't travel all the way to Bali to surf the web, they were nevertheless quite unhappy that the Wi-Fi at the resort was very poor. Slow service and difficulty connecting seemed to be the main problems.
