Terrific 24 hour restaurant on-site
Guests really had good things to say about the on-site restaurant, Ziggies. The food was said to be pretty good, but what most impressed them was that it was open 24 hours and served its entire menu throughout that period.

While not in the very heart of Springfield, the hotel is not very far from downtown. Guests seemed to find the location convenient for the places they were headed, which included Mercy Hospital and Missouri Sate University.

Even guests who had a few issues during their stay often complimented the staff. Guests felt that they extended a warm welcome on arrival and were very friendly when approached with a query or issue.

Could really do with a makeover
This was perhaps the most common negative sentiment expressed. Many guests felt that the hotel was definitely showing its age. It wasn’t that they thought that it affected its function, but with faded fabrics, dings scratches and the like, they felt it was long overdue for a full makeover.

Pretty loud environment
Guests complained of noise from both inside and outside the building. They said that they could hear sounds from adjacent rooms quite easily, but were actually more disturbed by people shouting and such in the parking lot below, which seems to have a problem with people making a racket, especially at night.

Many guests found that their room simply wasn’t clean on check-in. While it does not seem that they were in a terrible state, the volume of complaints indicates that housekeeping standards may not be set very high.
