Positive Reviews
positive:
Responsive service and good food selection.
Guests said the staff here proved to be friendly, professional, and helpful, providing responsive service if anything should go awry. Those who stayed also said there were nice breakfasts and a good selection of tasty fare served in the restaurants, but mentioned that not all of these, or many village restaurants, were open in the shoulder seasons and service was very occasionally a bit rushed due to a short staffing.
positive:
Clean, warm rooms, pool area with view.
You will find the rooms at Lake Louise Inn to be warm, clean, and some guests said they had a nice balcony with a view. Likewise the pool and whirlpool area was also very popular with guests, especially because of the full-wall windows looking towards the mountains.
positive:
Explore beautiful lakes in Canadian Rockies.
The inn is found in what guests described as an incredibly beautiful area in the Canadian Rockies — Banff National Park. They found it close the freeway and said it proved to be a great base for exploring Lake Louise, the glaciers and mountains around it and nearby attractions like Moraine Lake and Banff.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Showing some wear and tear.
Those who stayed sometimes opined that the accommodation provided here was dated and showing signs of wear and tear. In particular, guests occasionally reported some fittings in their rooms to be suffering from lack of maintenance and said older technology such as the TVs and computers in the business center could use upgrading.
negative:
Some say overpriced.
A small number of those who stayed at Lake Louise Inn found both the accommodation and the food to be overpriced, in their opinion. However a fair number of other guests thought their stay to be reasonably priced and most did not express any negative opinions around this.
negative:
Room size, limited elevator access.
Depending on what room they got, guests sometimes were not happy with the size of their rooms, but others who opted for an upgrade found them more spacious. Those with a large amount of luggage, or who perhaps have mobility issues, should be aware that at least one of the buildings in the inn has no elevator.
