Positive Reviews
positive:
Just off main shopping street.
Klettur is found just off Reykjavik's main shopping street of Laugavegur, and guests also found it to be within doable walking distance of the city centre and harbour. While some restaurants can be found here, it seems to be a much more relaxed spot than the noisy city centre.
positive:
Well-appointed convenience.
The rooms here are clean, modern and well-appointed with almost everything you could need, with close and convenient free parking, and a simple, cold breakfast buffet included.
positive:
Great staff with perfect English.
Guests found the staff to be very helpful and especially the front desk staff team, who spoke perfect English and were happy to assist with advice and local excursion bookings.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast is crowded, fare not suiting everyone.
Some guests found the buffet breakfasts at Klettur to be a bit on the crowded side, and the predominantly cold fare was too simple for some, who would have liked more hot options.
negative:
Wi-Fi sometimes slow, no kettle.
The Wi-Fi in the hotel has occasionally been found to be a little slow, so keep this in mind, while the lack of a kettle has proved disappointing for a few Brits.
negative:
Some construction works 2015.
While guests have not reported disturbances, there have been some construction works going on close to the hotel 2015, so the area looked a little scruffy at this point.
