About Karmir Resort & Spa
Situated in a prime spot barely 200 yards from the beach,
Kamir Resort and Spa offers guests extensive facilities, and activities for the
whole family.
The rooms are modern, with bright and cheerful décor, and feature en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, flat screen TV’s, in-room safes and hairdryers.
The Karmir Resort and Spa does indeed have resort facilities. There are the usual pools and terraces for all ages, children’s playgrounds and an entertainment program with something for everyone. Free Wi-Fi is available in the public areas.
There’s a great choice of dining options, from the main buffet restaurant serving Turkish and international favourites to the more intimate al la carte Italian restaurant. There are of course also a number of bars, from the casual poolside bar to more elegant lounges.
The resort itself, and the nearby beach, are the main attractions. Antalya Airport is approximately 30 miles from the resort.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent food in the restaurants
Perhaps because the main restaurant is large, and uses the buffet format, guests seemed a little apprehensive with respect to the food initially. But after sampling what was available, they reported that it was tasty, well presented and that there was enough variety to ensure that their taste buds didn't become jaded.
positive:
Great views from the property
Although not directly on the beach, guests reported that there were certainly sea views from the property, and went on to say that there were also terrific mountain views in the other direction. They described it as a very beautiful setting.
positive:
Property clean and well cared for
Unlike in some large resorts, where standards can sometimes slip, guests report that both the rooms and public areas of the hotel were very well maintained, and kept scrupulously clean throughout their stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very poor English language skills
Guests mentioned that the reception staff spoke very little English. While they struggled through check-in and check-out, any other sort of query or complaint could not be handled properly, unless one understood Turkish. They found it a most frustrating experience.
negative:
Pools are unheated
Guests travelling in the cooler months pointed out that the outdoor pools are unheated. So even on days were the weather was fine, the water was a bit too cold to swim in, except for members of the Polar Bear Swim Club perhaps.
negative:
An extra charge for Wi-Fi
It seems that the Kamir is one of the holdouts in the battle for inclusive Wi-Fi. Guests were not impressed that they had to pay for in-room Wi-Fi, reasoning that connectivity was such a basic feature of life now that it was a little like being charged extra to have beds in their room. But even after paying they report that the speeds were exceptionally slow.
