Positive Reviews
positive:
Rural and Peaceful.
This guest house is located in a rural position overlooking the island of St Mary's, and at some distance (about fifteen minutes' walk) from Hugh Town. Guests found both the staff and the owner to be really enthusiastic and helpful with information on the islands. Those who travelled to the islands on the Scillonian boat were, for a small fee, able to arrange for the delivery of their luggage direct to the guest house.
positive:
Great Food.
The home cooked breakfast is very good, and satisfying. It is served in the conservatory, or outside when the weather permits. A good packed lunch can be made available for a reasonable fee. The home made cakes come in for special praise, and the strudel was described as not to be missed. The food was found to be good all round, and reasonably priced too.
positive:
Relaxed and Family Orientated.
The environment here is relaxed, spacious and friendly, and the café adds to the available facilities for guests. The rooms are well presented and maintained, with good tea and coffee making facilities, and free Wi-Fi Internet access. Guests advise that the best rooms to go for are those on the front, as they have their own small gardens and seating areas. This is very much a family friendly establishment, some who stayed with three young children were full of praise for the treatment they received from all staff members.
