Negative Reviews
negative:
There are smoking rooms here
Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago-Schaumberg offers both non-smoking and smoking rooms. This is quite evident, because when you step over the threshold of a room that has housed smokers in the past, the acrid, stale smell of second-hand smoke is hard to miss. If this is a problem for you, be sure to state your preference for a non-smoking room upon booking, and then again at check-in.
negative:
The walls are thin
The walls at this hotel are thin which may result in bleed-through noise from your neighbors beside and above you. So if you are looking for a quiet stay, be sure to ask for a corner room on a high floor, far from the madding crowd.
negative:
Some rooms are far from the front desk
This hotel is housed in several buildings and therefore, many guest rooms are a bit of a hike from the front desk. If you are traveling with a lot of luggage, have trouble with walking long distances or have small children in tow, be sure to request a room that's close to the front of the hotel.
