Positive Reviews
positive:
The breakfast is amazing
Guests are impressed by the complimentary breakfast, because of its fresh, made-to-order casseroles and eggs that enhance the usual offerings. The other selections are ample and filling, but the preparation and presentation of the hot dishes take it up a level.
positive:
Beautiful location and rooms
Edgewater Inn is in the perfect location for a relaxed getaway at the beach, and offers substantial opportunity to see dolphins! Views from the rooms are just as charming, and inspiring to forget about daily to-dos and make the most the time away.
positive:
Welcoming atmosphere and staff
The staff are very warm and welcoming, and love chatting about all of the great things to do and see in the area. They're attentive, responsive, and do whatever they can to make you feel appreciated, and not just another face or number.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms are disappointing for their price
Many guests are disappointed that the recent renovated rooms don't fairly justify the high pricing. The décor and furnishings are nice, but nothing is that special or standout from rooms at lower rates elsewhere.
negative:
Too much light floods the room
One detail oddly missing from the décor is the option of sufficiently blocking sunlight from flooding the room. There are no blackout curtains, and some rooms also have the additional distraction or nuisance of facing where the security floodlights are.
negative:
A/Cs are very noisy
Be aware that if you prefer to use the A/C, it creates a lot of noise. It may actually create more of a disruption to sleeping than by not having it blast. Perhaps bring a travel fan with you if the outside temperatures are high.
