The cleanliness of the hotel was often seen as a high point by past visitors. From the rooms to the public spaces, all areas of the accommodation were typically seen as spotlessly tidy and clean.

Knowledgeable staff always attentive

Negative Reviews
negative:
Location not the most central in Amsterdam
Based on the overall feedback of past visitors, the location of the Hotel De Hallen is not the most ideal if you want to base yourself in the centre of Amsterdam. Popular attractions such as the Anne Frank House and Rijksmuseum are 20 minutes away, while getting around to further afield attractions can apparently require public transport.
negative:
Small and dark rooms
A small number of former guests found that the more budget-friendly rooms of the hotel carried certain negative aspects. These negative issues include the cramped size of said rooms, and the lack of natural sunlight entering the accommodations.
negative:
Open plan bathroom not for everyone
For previous visitors that valued their privacy, the open plan style of the en-suite bathrooms was far from the most appreciated aspect of the Hotel De Hallen.
