Negative Reviews
negative:
The cleaning's not so hot.
From stained sheets with cigarette burns to carpets which could do with a proper vacuuming, housekeeping seems to be pretty minimal here, with some guests complaining that their rooms weren't cleaned at all during their stay. There are some maintenance issues too, with things like broken TVs causing irritation.
negative:
It doesn't smell great.
Probably because of the issues with cleaning, many guests report that their rooms smell bad - either due to old cigarette smoke, or mold and mildew in the bathrooms. It doesn't make the best impression, and the hotel probably needs a good airing and doing up.
negative:
It can be a bit noisy.
Some guests have complained that the walls are quite thin, so noise travels easily. If you're a light sleeper and you don't want to hear your neighbors' TVs blaring, or doors slamming up and down the corridor, then earplugs are probably a good idea.
