Negative Reviews
negative:
Location not ideal for Torquay
Overall feedback suggests that the location of the Crown Lodge is its biggest negative aspect. This was generally attributed to the guest house's positon from the Torquay town centre, which is approximately 30 minutes away on foot.
negative:
Some rooms on the small side
Some of the rooms at the guest house are, according to numerous previous guests, limited in terms of space provided. With that said, the small size of the rooms has rarely affected the overall comfort levels of staying at the lodge in a significant manner.
negative:
Noise from traffic can be problematic
Based on the accounts of former visitors, the Crown Lodge's position on a busy road can prove to be bothersome. It has been occasionally stated that the noise from passing traffic is noticeable and disruptive at times when staying at the guest house.
