Hotel Courtyard by Marriott Erie Ambassador Conference Center (Erie, USA)

The hotel's location is good. It's just off the highway, close to beaches, an island, a great zoo and a wonderful shopping area (with a 24-hour Walmart), and many eating options. As a satisfied guest remarked, it's not downtown yet everything is available. Another mentioned that not having a vehicle while staying here is no problem, as everything required is within walking distance. The hotel's location is its biggest advantage.

It has been repeatedly mentioned that the hotel is clean, comfortable and extremely well-maintained. There is a high standard of housekeeping here along with a dedicated staff and management team who work hard to maintain that standard.

The staff here is friendly, helpful and professional, with great customer service ethics. A family recently found themselves stranded after a road accident with no vehicle and had to stay here for a few days. The staff and management took extremely good care of them, turning a disastrous weekend into one they thoroughly enjoyed. A staff member named Shannon has been named as being particularly professional and helpful.

There's disappointment that breakfast is not included in the tariff. Some felt that this made the price of an overnight stay too costly overall.

There are refrigerators only in the king rooms. There are no microwaves and their absence is noticed. Some feel that the price of the tariff isn't worth it because of this deficiency.

The rooms are due for refurbishment as they are dated looking, and the fittings need fixing. The management has promised that refurbishments begin in December, 2015.
