The perfect location for many attractions
The hotel is conveniently located for many of downtown Detroit's attractions with the Joe Louis arena just a short walk away where there are regular concerts and events, the Detroit Lions play nearby as do the Detroit Tigers. There are also restaurants, shopping malls and a casino which are all on the Detroit People Mover's loop and there is something for everybody. The hotel also has views of the Detroit River and Canada which is on the other side.

Wonderful service makes you want to return
So many members of staff have been mentioned by name positively for going the extra mile and ensuring that guests enjoy their stay with many saying that the friendly welcome and hospitality has made them want to return in the future.

Really good food and banqueting options
Large groups of people can be catered for and private rooms are available on request. The food is of good quality and the service is excellent whether it is for a large banquet, for a small group or even a couple visiting the restaurant on an evening.

Parking charges and confusing options
Parking is available for an additional charge where you have to pay every time you leave the parking lot and there is also a different more expensive valet parking service which is best if you don't intend to use your car. Some guests found this to be quite confusing and felt that this was not explained properly.

Very busy and very crowded areas
As the hotel is in such a good location it can be busy when there are concerts and sporting events. This can lead to busier waiting times in the hotel at check-in or for the valet parking.

Rooms are looking tired and need updating
According to some guests the rooms are starting to look rather tired and dated, but there are reports from the hotel that there has been a recent refurbishment and an update to rooms.
