Pleasant and helpful staff.
Front desk staff make sure that needs are well taken care of and iron out any problems, book tickets, make restaurant reservations or call cabs with a positive attitude and warm disposition. Hotel restaurant service is also very efficient and well-organised.
positive:
Excellent onsite restaurant.
The award-winning onsite restaurant menu is varied, dishes are well prepared and presented, service is efficient and friendly and the standards of overall cleanliness very high.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No breakfast included.
The Carnegie Court Hotel does not include a complimentary breakfast in the daily room rate and guests must order either continental baskets or cooked breakfast options off the restaurant menu which is charged as separate items to accommodation.
negative:
Poor sound insulation.
Rooms in general do not offer very good sound insulation from outside noises or the noisy activities of neighbouring guests. A particular issue has to do with rooms that are located closer to the bar area as they do not offer adequate protection against late night music or busy weekend nights. Book rooms well-away from the bar if noise is an issue.
negative:
Slightly overpriced for some.
Some have found the hotel to be slightly overpriced especially when one considers that the rather limited complimentary items on offer do not really add enough overall value to balance this out.
