Hotel Barú (Sagunt, Spain)

Els Arenals is situated right on a fairly quiet beach, some distance from central Sagunto. Guests who were looking for a peaceful holiday loved both being near the beach, and the fact that it was relatively free of large numbers of people.

While the chic and modern décor chosen by the hotel was certainly not everybody's cup of tea, it was clear that the vast majority absolutely loved being in a hotel that had such a leading edge design.

It wasn't only the décor that guests liked about their rooms, but also the fact that they were much more spacious than they were used to. They found that having enough space for them and their room mate made for a much more comfortable experience.

For reasons that aren't entirely clear, many guests believed they were booking a much more central hotel. The fact is that the hotel is on the edge of town in a residential subdivision with little in the way of usual tourist amenities in the area. Many loved this location, but of course guests who were expecting to be in town were disappointed.

A number of guests brought up the question of the gym. The hotel lists as one of the amenities it has a gym. While guests concede that it does indeed have a gym, they describe it as not any more than a tiny room with two machines.

While not mentioned by many, those who did bring it up sorely missed being able to make themselves a quick cuppa in the privacy of their room with a minimum of fuss.
