Positive Reviews
positive:
Nestled in the heart of Reykjavík.
It's hard to imagine getting any closer to the heart of the city. Almost every major site you'll find in Iceland's guidebooks is within reach, either on foot or with the aid of public transportation. Some sites, including the nearby cathedral and a host of museums, are within viewing distance of the complex.
positive:
Attentive hosts.
You'll feel welcomed and cared for as soon as you enter the reception area. The staff is courteous and kind, making every effort to assist with itinerary planning if requested, and you can always count on them to remedy issues with your booking.
positive:
Superb beds.
The mattresses, pillows, and sheets provided in every apartment — regardless of budget level or size — are phenomenal. You'll get a great night of sleep here, especially if you prefer your beds and pillows to be on the soft side.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Insufficient soundproofing.
It's far too easy to hear fellow guests moving around in the halls or in neighbouring rooms, since the walls and windows are generally too thin. While you won't hear a great deal of noise from the surrounding streets, late check-ins or returning guests could wake you up at night.
negative:
Strange odours from faucets.
Numerous guests reported detecting an odour while showering or using the faucets in the kitchen. This could indicate a number of issues, ranging from gas leakages to rusted pipes, but all of the possibilities require prompt attention from the staff.
negative:
Discrepancies in appearance.
While the hotel's portfolio of apartment photographs suggests a relatively spacious experience, a large number of guests found that their actual living spaces were not reflective of online pictures. Whether this is due to renovations or questionable presentation, you should be wary of possible alterations.
