Positive Reviews
positive:
Set in an Excellent Central Location
The Abalonia Inn is perfectly located right in the heart of the town meaning that it's just a short walk to both the beach, but also to the local shops and restaurants. The area can get very busy during the summer season, however, due to the location of this accommodation, guests can easily walk to all the local amenities rather than having to drive.
positive:
Rustic Style yet Modern Rooms
The renovation of this building has been very tastefully done, with exposed beams and interesting corners, all completed with traditional patchwork quilts and antique furniture. This is in contrast to the modern amenities such as the air conditioning, Wi-Fi and flat screen television.
positive:
A Saltwater Pool
The small pool attached to this accommodation is really lovely. It's saltwater and heated and the small waterfall pouring into it along with the surrounding trees all add to add to the relaxing atmosphere of this outdoor area. There is also a fire pit where guests can gather to relax over a drink.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some Small Bathrooms
Some former guests, depending on which room they end up booking, find that the bathroom attached to their room is extremely small. This makes storing toiletries and navigating within it difficult. The shower too is small meaning showering can be a cramped experience.
negative:
No Full Breakfast
Lighter fare is served every morning to guests at this inn. Those requiring more choice or quantities will have to leave the accommodation and eat their morning meal at another location.
negative:
No Elevator and Noise
Due to its age and history, there is no elevator in this accommodation and therefore those with mobility issues may find accessing their rooms difficult. The wooden floors, while charming, can also cause a lot of noise from other guests walking above.
