Guesthouse Yalbury Cottage (Dorchester, United Kingdom)

Guests loved the small yet cosy cottages with lovely countryside surroundings. Rooms were decorated tastefully and maintained well. A thoughtful touch like homemade biscuits kept by the coffee corner was much appreciated by the guests. The onsite restaurant is also done up well with beamed ceiling and a fireplace. Food served in the restaurant was delicious and all the ingredients were sourced locally which enhanced the taste of the food. The service was top notch. Canapés and pre dinner drinks were loved by the guests.

All the staff members were very courteous and attentive to the smallest of the concerns that guests had to share. Guests felt very warmly welcomed with complimentary homemade biscuits. It is a very pet friendly hotel and guests were thrilled to have their pets along with them.

Most of the guests loved the countryside location where the guests could take a lovely walk along the river and enjoy the scenic beauty. The garden outside the rooms took some of the guests back to the old times and was very nostalgic. There was ample parking space for all the guests to park their vehicles.

Guests were slightly disappointed by the slow Internet connection, which made it difficult for some of them to work.

Few guests were surprised to see plastic tablecloths on tables in the restaurant. They felt that these plastic tablecloths didn't go too well with the nice décor of the restaurant.

Some of the guests felt the place was a bit noisy as they could hear people walking on the floors above. Apart from the slight concerns here and there, all the guests truly enjoyed their stay in the guesthouse.
