About The Wheatsheaf Inn
Located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, the Wheatsheaf Inn is a dog friendly hotel.

Cosy Comfort, Fab Food
A cosy coal fire and the aromas of good food from the kitchen lured many guests into spending a cold winter's evening or two in the Wheatsheaf Inn's wood-panelled restaurant and pub. They loved the meat pies, roasts and burgers all washed down with local ale and the friendly, convivial atmosphere and reasonable prices had many saying they'd definitely be back.

Four Poster Beds & Mod Cons
While the 19th century stone and brick room Wheatsheaf Inn still retains much of its historic country charm it also offers plenty of 21st century comfort. Guests loved the four poster beds, available in some rooms, and found the accommodations clean and comfortable with good bed linens and modern, well appointed en-suite bathrooms.

In the heart of the Yorkshire dales with picturesque views all around, the Wheatsheaf Inn's location won the hearts of most guests. They enjoyed walking to the quaint village of Carperby and the short drive to Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle. Many guests were fans of the author James Herriot and several noted that he'd spent his honeymoon at the hotel.
