About The Peacock
The Peacock is a 200-year-old traditional inn set in the picturesque Peak District market town of Bakewell.
Rooms at The Peacock have original features and have en-suite bathrooms with shower facilities, washbasin and WC. They also feature tea and coffee-making facilities and digital TV. The main 'Master' bedroom has a four-poster bed.
Built in a converted stable, The Peacock retains many original features including exposed beams and stone walls. Free Wi-Fi is available in the bar area. Luxury off-site cottage accommodation is also available.
Traditional home-cooked food is served in the on-site pub restaurant, and is made from locally-sourced ingredients. The food is complimented by locally-brewed craft ales, quality wines and continental beers.
The Peacock is in the heart of the market town Bakewell, the original home of the Bakewell Tart. The stately home Chatsworth House is 10-minutes away by car, while Alton Towers theme park is 50-minutes away.
