Kartano Kievari is a small family operated business in Äänekoski, just 30 minutes from Jyväskylä. Although the accommodations are available daily, the restaurant is only open during events or per private hire. Breakfast is always included. Depending on number of guests, we either prepare breakfast baskets to the rooms or serve a buffet style breakfast in the main building. Kartano Kievari is a great choice to stay for people who are concerned about the environment. All our premises are heated with geothermal heat and during the summer our hot water is being heated with solar panels. All the electricity we use is based on renewable energy The premises hold a long farming history. Back in the days Kartano Kievari was a wealthy farm of Suojoki. The current main building was originally constructed in the early 19th century as a massive cowshed. The attractive red brick house right next to it served as a stable. In the brick house is the majority of our hotel rooms today. In there you will also find a sauna that can be used free of charge as well as a kitchenette and lounge area in the upper level. The newest structure in the area is the outside theater that is only used during summertime. The theater seats approximately 600 people and underneath the seats, on the other side, you can find rest of our hotel rooms. All the theater rooms have their own entrance and patio.
