It’s in a great location.
From the hotel it is just a 15 minute walk into the city centre. Guests were happy to be able to park their car in the free on-site lot and walk to wherever they needed to go. They found that the city had plenty to do and see, with lots of shops, restaurants, and local attractions.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The rooms are not particularly clean.
Reviews sited a number of issues with the cleanliness of their room. Complaints included excessive dust, musty smells, stains on the linens, mold, rust, and other people’s belongings left in the room. Many guests choose to check out and stay elsewhere without a refund after seeing their room.
negative:
There are a variety of maintenance issues.
Guests generally reported the rooms to be shabby and worn down. They found issues with many of the fixtures and appliances. Some examples include ceiling fans not working, furniture falling apart, window sashes broken, and shower floors collapsing.
negative:
Some of the rooms are in the basement.
Many guests were surprised to find out on their arrival that their room was located in the basement. Those that stayed in basement rooms lamented the obvious lack of natural light. They were kept awake by the sound of footsteps upstairs throughout the night, and bothered by the ringing phone upstairs as early as five in the morning.
