positive:
A warm and genuine welcome for guests of all ages.
Families with young children are treated with the same high respect as couples, older guests, and friends travelling together. The inn is well regarded as a great place to stay if you have kids.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No lift can make upper rooms difficult to stay in.
The stairs to the upper floors can be an issue for some. Staff will help with luggage, but if you have mobility concerns, express that to reception. You may want to see beforehand if a ground floor room is available.
negative:
Pub noise definitely filters to the nearby rooms.
Rooms above the pub will hear noise. If you're not going to be downstairs or out late in the evenings, check about another room, or at the very least, if your stay coincides with any events being held.
negative:
Staff is occasionally overwhelmed and disorganised.
At times, the staff can be a bit difficult to respond in a timely manner, or to accommodate requests promptly. Meals turn up short or in error, or it may take longer than usual to get fresh towels.
