Positive Reviews
positive:
Ideal location for the Vatican Museums
While the hotel is quite central, and a good location for many of Rome's attractions, guests consider it especially convenient for the Vatican Museums. It is just a short and uncomplicated walk to the entrance, and it seems several guests book this hotel specifically because of this convenience.
positive:
Breakfast worth complimenting
A surprising number of guest, of many nationalities, go out of their way to compliment the breakfast. Many were perhaps expecting to be disappointed with a meagre spread, but were happily proven wrong. The coffee was said to meet the high standards expected in Italy.
positive:
Perfect “boutique” size hotel
Many guests feel that the hotel is just the right size. Not so big as to be impersonal, and not so small that they couldn't offer required services.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms maybe a bit too high-tech
Perhaps amusingly, or not, more than one or two guests couldn't get the TV in their room to work. Not because it was broken, but because the high tech control panels in the room were a bit too (unnecessarily) complicated to operate.
negative:
Noisy ventilation in the rooms
Several guests mention a problem with the ventilation, saying it is noticeably audible in the rooms, especially in the quiet of night.
negative:
Some questions about value
Though not often mentioned, some guests do point out that this is not a budget hotel, and that for the room rate they paid they had very high expectations indeed. For them, these were not always met, and attention to detail was sometimes lacking.
