positive:
The staff is very courteous
Unlike some serviced apartments, where guests' interactions with the staff can sometimes be limited to a key drop box, guests at DeWitt Place were pleased to find that the employees are very present and available. They generally received excellent customer service during their stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
It's getting a bit run down
More generous reviews described the accommodations at DeWitt place as "retro" or "well loved", but some took the position that the place is simply old and run down. They complained of outdated decor, fraying carpets and furniture, and a cantankerous freight elevator that one hyperbolic guest said reminded them on the one from The Shining.
negative:
Some of the rooms can be noisy
Some guests, particularly those that stayed in rooms near the back stairwell, found that the noise pollution was a little out of hand. They were kept up at night by the the sounds of traffic and by other guests roaming the hallways.
negative:
Strange smells
A few guests had a foul oder of unknown origin in their room, which some described as being a "damp" smell that didn't detract terribly from heir stay, but others described as smelling like "raw sewage".
