We and the magic of Casa Canario spaces, will make you feel right at home. We are kind and hospitable and really treats you like family. We have created a beautiful, warm, green and welcoming space. The house is a relaxing urban oasis, gorgeously decorated, with pink and purple cascading flowers all around. Here have been many interesting and fun guests passing through that became good friends, so, will always have the option to socialize with, but also is calm enough to enjoy quiet time in your room/space without being bothered. The area is lovely- close enough to walk to the hustle of Historic Downtown and other interesting neighborhoods, but it offers more of a local vibe with several quaint restaurants and shops. You will absolutely enjoy your staying in Casa Canario! Accommodation: Old house, with 8 private bedrooms that retains most of the last century charm. Our guests come to relax, have fun and enjoy cultural events and tourist attractions the city offers. Cozy warm rooms, that surrounds the central patio, with high ceilings & adobe walls, which allows to regulate the space temperature. isolated from street noise, since Casa Canario, was built in an apple heart, at the bottom of the land. Comfortable beds , soft bedding. Work desk, lamp & picture window allowing luminosity & ventilation. Storage. With green view due to the amount of plants/vines adorning everywhere. Perfect refuge to rest, relax and live the open areas with a glass of wine or cup of coffee. The Casa Canario´s calid and illuminated rooms are aranged around a nice and sunny mexican patio with typical clay floor with plants, hammocks and characteristics arches of regional architecture period. A lot of light and sun, lounges and roof-top terrace with Expiatorio Neogothic Temple neighborhood view and neighbors of historic downtown. With leisure and conviviality areas to read, sunbathe and play, easy to move on bike (bike station at one block), UBER, bus, subway or walking. Cultural and tourist orientation. Casa Canario is neighbor of historic downtown and other interesting "barrios",, walking access to several areas of cultural and gastronomic interest. Very quiet, bright and several living spaces (terraces, living rooms and patio). Neighborhood of tradition and charm. Mexican chic decoration. Space: We have created a beautiful, warm, green and cozy space in Casona Antigua, classic Mexican, built in the heart of the city, surrounded only by vines, trees and marshes. All spaces revolve around the large central courtyard and other common areas, no room has contact with the bustle of the street (that we leave for when they go out to explore the area). The house is a relaxing urban oasis, beautifully decorated, with flowers cascading pink and purple everywhere. Services & common areas Wi-Fi, living room, patio, terraces, dining room, kitchen, living rooms, bike rental and optional maid and laundry service (extra cost). Activities: interesting places, buy crafts and regional products, delicious culinary tour, etc. You can find variety of restaurants, bars, bazaars, spanish schools, traditional markets and shops walking, around 5-7 minutes. Guests attention, policies: * Check in: 14:00 hrs. * Check out: 12:00 hrs. *Open all year long. * Smoking permitted only in open spaces: terraces and patio. * Access ramp for wheelchair, a bedroom and bathroom on one level, suitable for people who have difficulty climbing stairs (handicap). * Children are welcome. * Small pets (prior approval) are accepted (extra cost $9 usd per night). *Shared bathroom with one more room & option for rooms with private bathroom. * Take care of your bunch of keys to avoid charge $25 usd in case you loose them. Highlights: The area of the monumental neogothic temple called “Expiatorio”, is located two blocks from the hotel and often offers cultural events, outdoors ballroom dancing, handicrafts made by our valuable Huichol ethnic group. At 10 minutes from the hotel is located the downtown (heart of the city), the cathedral, the cross of plazas, San Juan de Dios market, Cabañas Hospice, the Rotunda of Illustrious Men, museum of history, the Degollado Theater, among many other attractions. At Christmastime they make special events and decorate the streets with nice illuminated Christmas figures. Equipment/services: kitchen, books, towels, bedding, bed clothing, drinking water and Wi-Fi. RULES: - Be respectful and responsible with the use of furniture, common areas and accessories provided and with guests in general. The damages will be charged from your guarantee deposit. - Does not accept the entrance of friends, visitors or people who are not guests (if they stay, will charge you, his/her quote as an extra guest, $ 15 usd per day). -Please respect and do not take the towels away. We have stopped offering them to new guests due to lack of inventory ... do not do what we would not like to receive. -It is not allowed to do parties or events. - Make good use of the refrigerator, using it only for its purpose, respecting the places assigned to your room only, and before your check out date, discarding or taking away food scraps from the refrigerator and the cupboard. -After 7 days of refrigerated any food, if we observe that it remains in the fridge, we will discard it for hygiene and to maintain free spaces for the rest of the guests. -Turn off lights that no longer use or when they are removed from your room, closet or any common area. -Smoking is accepted only in open places: terraces and patios. There is a penalty of $250 pesos if find anyone smoking inside a close room or if the room smells like cigarette. -Do not throw cigarette/butts on the floor, pots or plants. -We will charge, immediately, $ 500 pesos for each set of ost, incomplete or damaged keys, because, for the safety of all, we must change the combinations of the main locks (involves making copies for all rooms). and the new keys are still owned by Casa Canario (return them at the end). This to take better care of them! -Children (regardless of age) who sleep in bed, are considered regular guests, as they are considered to enjoy, as adults, our common areas, accessories and services. - In case you plan to bring your pet (you must inform us for authorization, prior your arrival), and will be charged $ 100 extra pesos per night plus a security deposit of $ 900 pesos for possible damages (will be returned at the end, returning the space in the state as they received it). How to get around: From Casa Canario, you can walk to visit temples, museums, plazas, antique bazaars, markets, restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, language schools, gastronomy, etc. Will Experience multiple artistic, recreational, culinary and tourist events. In the historic downtown (20 minutes walking), will find traditional restaurants called “fondas” with excellent typical Mexican food like the famous "tortas ahogadas", "tostadas", "pozole", "sopes", "churros with hot cocoa chocolate", etc. The Centre invites you to explore and enjoy day and night. Transportation: Walking or can rent bikes, UBER, subway or buses. There are special tourist transportation (bus or train) dedicated to plan touristic trips to nearby cute places.
